GOVERNING BODY
Retraction and Correction
| Policy Statement |
The Vox Populi Law Review recognizes the substantial effort invested by authors and reflects this through rigorous peer-review. However, articles may require correction or retraction for scientific, ethical, or legal reasons to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. This policy ensures transparency, accountability, and consistency in post-publication practices while safeguarding the journal’s electronic archives. |
| Retraction |
Retraction occurs if the validity or ethical standing is fundamentally compromised, such as:
Following COPE Guidelines, a retraction notice will be published online and linked to the original article. |
| Article Correction |
Issued when an article remains reliable but contains errors:
|
| Article Removal | Reserved for exceptional cases involving defamation, infringement of legal rights, or serious public health risks. Metadata will remain with an explanatory notice. |
| Article Replacement | If an article poses a serious risk if acted upon, it may be retracted and replaced with a corrected version, including a transparent publication history. |
